A football stadium in Portugal had to be constructed in a unique way because of the ground's natural slope.

The Custoias Football Club stadium in Portugal was built at an estimated cost of $2 million by architects Guilherme Machado Vaz. The construction posed a unique challenge to the architects because of the natural slope of the ground which they tried to blend with the big leveled platform of the sport field. They resolved this problem by placing the platform in an intermediate level, enabling them to create a floor below the soccer field where all the facilities are located. The ground outside was used to create a garden which encloses the outside space.
