Craft Bar is a nightlife-workspace that brings creators and artists together within a DJ and drinks experience.

Craft Bar is a regularly hosted nightlife-workspace at the San Francisco Museum of Craft And Folk Art, where creators and crafters come together to collaborate on specific projects. Craft Bar organizes project themes and featured artists to guide crafters, within a DJ and drinks experience. In a collaboration with Etsy Virtual Labs, remote participants can follow along with craft projects via webcam and chat.

Craft Bar co-founder Kpoene’ Kofi-Bruce explains:

The crowd for Craft Bar has been predictably young, hip, and ready to make something, darn it. So far, knock on wood, we haven’t had anyone get rowdy. The beer tends to fuel some pretty amazing craft projects – at the April event, which was Katy Kristin’s recycled-sweater bear workshop, an entire group of people went rogue and designed their own plushies – a squid, an aardvark, and an evil peanut!
