Design For The First World is a competition for people in developing countries to provide solutions for problems faced by developed countries.

Design For The First World is a competition for creative artists, scientists and designers from developing countries to provide solutions to the problems faced by the ‘First World’ or the developed nations.

Initiated by a New York based designer, Carolina Vallejo, the competition has identified four main problematic areas to address: Reducing obesity, addressing low birth rate and an aging population, effective consumption rate of mass produced goods and integrating immigrant population in the mainstream.
