Barnes & Noble is offering exclusive content and free in-store reading to Nook owners who visit its stores.

While the idea of mobile coupons has been bandied about for a long time, there hasn’t really been any successful campaigns integrated into the marketplace, likely due to the fact that these promotions required on-the-spot, impulse purchases and by themselves weren’t effective incentives to actually get people in the door.
