Growing Greener Schools is a  movement initiated by the Media Policy Center to empower students, teachers and parents in American schools to understand and implement eco-friendly ideas in their schools. The program aims to teach students to be more eco-conscious and offers advice on nutritious food and outdoor activities in order to improve students’ confidence, grades and overall health. While schools under this program prepare their students to acquire green job skills, they also save about $100,000 annually due to efficient green construction.
