PSFK identifies the most mentioned brands of from the last 1,500 articles.

At PSFK HQ, we are in the process of creating this year’s Good Brands Report. Last year’s version was downloaded from our servers over 10,000 times and we’re busy working with the Purple List to judge the most relevant brands of 2010 against innovation, sustainability, social commitment and imagination. As a starting point to our analysis, we identified what PSFK considers the most relevant brands of 2010 through counting stories about the brands in the last 1,500 articles on PSFK. The top brands include new names such as Foursquare, Ace Hotel and Jamie Oliver; and there are well-known brands that have featured for the first time this year including Nokia and McDonalds.

    Compared to last year, we found that this year there were less brands continuously innovating. Brands seem to have dropped off the list because they created fewer new products, services and ideas. In the next couple of weeks, we will release PSFK’s Good Brands Report for 2010.
