A collective of individuals from the music industry, including musicians, retailers, songwriters, record labels and managers, have come together to form Music Matters, a campaign encouraging music buyers to consume music in an ethical manner. It’s main purpose is to remind listeners of the extraordinary lengths and labor that goes into creating an album or song and put it out on the market.

In addition to developing a presence on social media, Music Matters engages the digital world with short films that highlight messages inspired by the music of diverse artists such as The Jam, Sigur Ros, Kate Bush, and Louis Armstrong. These short videos are created by the online community and refreshes the platform’s online presence.
