London based A Studio for Design re-envisions the conventional greeting card with Postcarden – an inner growing tray, cress seeds and a card board display that, when watered, becomes a 3-D diorama of a mini garden.  Set to sprout in three days and last for up to 2 weeks, each Postcarden comes in three designs; ‘Botanical’ by Krista Nyberg, ‘Greenscape City’ by Millie Harvey and ‘Backyard Garden Allotment’ by Sophie Burdess. Challenging the notion of cards as momentary pleasures and just pleasurable ‘wastes’, Postcarden is British made; printed in Wales, with seeds sourced nationally, using local illustrators from various cities.
