In an exclusive collaboration, the popular online marketplace is redesigned and reimagined by a class of ten students at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA).

When you’re in school, the most valuable lessons often come through hand-on, experiential learning–the kind you can’t glean from a textbook; what’s even more important is integrating imagination into existing products from a fresh perspective.

This was precisely the thinking that Etsy, the online marketplace for original handmade and vintage items, had when they recently began a partnership with art schools to create design solutions to some of the site’s biggest challenges.
