BK Farmyards is a Brooklyn, New York based decentralized urban farming network which collaborates with home owners to turn their empty backyards into farm yards. A brainchild of Stacy Murphy, the service aims to offer fresh food to the homeowners in their backyard and build a local food network in the community. A landowner has to simply sign up and the company does all the farming for them. She even encourages backyard farm owners to come together and form viable farms to get the benefit of shared equipment, labor and volume discounts.
