New communal creative space serves as a venue for watching World Cup games, hosting creative salons, and club-housing local sports programs.

In advance of the World Cup, Nike has set-up “Stadiums” in Berlin, London, Milan, New York, Paris and Tokyo. The creative spaces, which have very little Nike apparel, are intended to serve as “stages for inspired performers, labs for innovative expressions, spaces where stories are told and others are written.”

We stopped by the “Bowery Stadium” at 276 Bowery St. and were told by an employee that while the space will serve a number of purposes, it will most immediately operate as a venue for the NYC football (our soccer) community to congregate and watch World Cup games.
