Company gardens seem to be an upcoming trend in corporate America. Be it Silicon Valley companies such as Google and Yahoo, or the more brick and mortar ones like PepsiCo and Toyota, organic vegetable gardens are springing up with employees volunteering to grow herbs and vegetables in them. The resulting produce is taken home, sent to company cafeterias or donated at local food banks.

Companies believe that besides encouraging the morale and health of the work force and giving them a break from mundane tasks, corporate gardening is also a great team-building activity.
