A project commissioned for a Florence restaurant illuminates old garments.

A series of clothesline-inspired lighting fixtures were created by Italian architect and designer Gaetano Pesce for the interior of a Florence restaurant, Il Cestello.  The lamps use an embedded light source within each garment pinned to the stainless-steel clothesline, using a resin layer over the fabric to stiffen and protect the garments.
