Amtrak Adds New Bike Access To Its Train Stations

The recent decision promises to benefit cyclists living in towns along its train stops.

Amtrak is going bike-friendly by adding a special service which will allow cyclists to board and disembark with their bikes on trains between Washington, D.C., and Chicago, allowing them to easily bike on to their to their destinations. The bikes will be secured in a rack in one of the refurbished bike-ready cars.
