Sensor equipped sneakers eliminate the need to tie laces by hand.

Blake Bevin, a self-confessed fan of the cult sci-fi movie, Back to The Future II, has created Power Laces-the automatic lacing shoe. As soon as you step into this shoe, a force sensor detects the pressure of your foot to activate a pair of servo motors that apply tension to the laces and tighten the shoe. It is also equipped with a touch switch to loosen the shoe.
