Google App Helps People Find And Share Parking

The Open Spot program aims to resolve a major problem for vehicle owners in big cities.

Google has released a new app called Open Spot that allows people leaving parking spots share their spaces with those searching for parking, with the help of smartphones. Users have the ability to notify other drivers of their vacating the parking space by pinpointing it on Google Maps as well as searching for other tagged open parking space in a specific location. Every time a user shares a spot, he earns ‘karma points’.
