New York based street art collective FAILE has constructed a lavish temple right in the middle of Restauradores Square in Lisbon.

Designed to be “camouflaged in plain sight,” FAILE’s Cathedral Project convincingly looks the part of an ancient monument. Upon closer inspection, details reveal themselves that are clearly from FAILE’s canon of pop-imagery. Featuring carved stone, tiles and iron, the temple offers an interesting juxtaposition of old and new.
