A unique sound installation at the Kew Gardens’ Palm House in London explores communication through sound.

Chris Watson’s Whispering in the Leaves is a unique sound installation up now at Kew Gardens’ Palm House in London until September 5, 2010. The Palm House, the oldest Victorian greenhouse in existence, has been fitted with 80 speakers. Field recordings of Central and South American rainforests permeate the space in alternating dawn and dusk choruses of 15 – 20 minutes. Chris Watson is an acclaimed sound recordist and founding member of the UK band Cabaret Voltaire.
