Derek Powazek, publisher of the Fray magazine and a veteran website designer, recently led a team that designed MagCloud’s iPad app, the first print-on-demand magazine service on the web. In his blog, he shares his thoughts on designing for the new device. He particularly marvels at the unique gestures and direct interface of the iPad that challenged the design team, while acknowledging that designing the app takes time to ensure a seamless user experience.
