Gilt Groupe, the popular invitation-only flash sale site, will be doing things a little bit differently with a sale launching on Friday, August 20. This particular 36-hour sale will feature products from Target’s upcoming designer collaborations with Mulberry, Tucker and John Derian. The items will be available at Target locations in the coming months, but Gilt has the exclusive firstlook. This is a unique approach for both Gilt and Target, and judging by the immediate success (and frenzy) surrounding previous releases of their designer capsule collections, it will most likely draw a crowd of both new and current members to Gilt’s site at 12:01 this Friday.
