Artists from the Madrid-based collective Luzinterruptus took an interest in the large yellow pieces of hardware found on a construction site to protect people from scaffolding accidents. Inspired random items passersby were placing in the holes of the metal orbs, they created the Urban Bird Nest installation to highlight these accidental structural pleasures. Placing a 130 diversely colored fake birds and tiny lights in the crevices created a fascinating environment out of a characterless urban staple.
