The recycling of waste can be beneficial not only to the environment, but also to the economy. A recent study done by Friends Of The Earth suggests that over 50,000 more jobs would be created if the UK recycles 70% of its waste instead of dumping it into landfills and adds that recycling creates 10 times more jobs per ton. The jobs would be created in recycling as well as along the supply chain and in other related industries.
