The 'People's Choice Sukkah of New York City' is on show with Union Square.

As ‘People’s Choice Sukkah of New York City’, the work of two New York architects is being work shown in Union Square. Henry Grossman & Babak Bryan’s ‘Fractured Bubble’ is made of “simple” materials such as plywood, marsh grass and twine; and shaped as a sphere fractured into three parts. The creators say:

“The sukkah is a bubble: ephemeral and transient.”

The schach, or roof material, is composed of phragmites, an invasive species of march grass growing in Queens. Here are some photos we took when we swung by earlier.
