IKEA Begins Selling Used Furniture

Leading furniture retailer announces a new environmentally friendly initiative.

In a move that will please budget shoppers and environmental activists, IKEA has started selling its used furniture pieces online in Sweden, with possible plans for similar offers elsewhere. The company says that offering its second hand furniture for sale and reducing waste is in line with their environmental responsibilities and will help their customers too in contributing towards a better world.
