The fried chicken chain will roll out new sustainable containers in 2011.

The fast food industry will soon inaugurate what is rumored to be it’s first re-usable container.  KFC announced in May of this year that they would introduce new packaging across five markets but it was confirmed this week that the roll-out to market is set for early 2011.

Winning the recent 2010 Greener Package Awards, this side container is microwaveable, dishwater safe and leak resistant incorporating a ‘ventless vent’ technology that allows the food to release moisture and remain fresh.
