The online micro-lending platform Kiva, which connects entrepreneurs in developing regions to lenders, has now extended its services by introducing a loan program exclusively for students to help them pay for their education. The pilot program started with students from Ecuador, Bolivia and Paraguay and may be extended to students in other countries in the future.
