Fictional characters "perform" on popular social network prior to their show's debut.

In an attempt to blur the lines between the fictional universe that exists on the TV screen and the slightly closer t0 reality, digital dialogue streaming on social networks, NBC is rolling out a prequel scene of their popular comedy ‘Community' on Twitter leading up to the season premiere Thursday, September 23rd. The Twittersode, as they're calling it, will see the show's characters communicating back and forth over the course of 80 Tweets as they prepare to head into their first class of the year. The conversations will simultaneously take place on the ‘Community' Twitter page on NBC or if you just so happen to follow the entire cast's individual accounts, you can watch the discussion unfold in the context of your personal Twitter feed, perhaps making the back and forth feel less scripted.
