A study to understand how atmospheric changes have affected the world took environmental researchers to the Amazon rainforest.

Environmental researchers have been able to find the purest known form of air particles in the remote corners of the Amazon rainforest. To understand how industrialization has affected the atmosphere, researchers had to find a place far away from pollution where they could get pure air particles that will act as a baseline to clearly know how much our atmosphere has changed over the last 200 years and how such atmospheric changes could affect the world.

This perfect place was found 130 feet above the Amazon Basin of Manaus in Brazil, where the scientists collected the data in the rainy season to avoid pollution from burning and deforestation. So what were the findings of this study? io9 reports:
