Twitter will reportedly launch a new advertising model today called “Promoted Accounts” that will enable advertisers to pay for placements in its “Who to Follow” feature. The recommended feature will be targeted towards users who have been receptive towards particular interests or brands, thus helping a business to get more followers and greater visibility.
