With the Eggbot system, the act of painting easter eggs offers the potential to learn about open source software and DIY robotics.

The robotic decoration system is able to draw detailed designs on eggs, golf balls, and other similarly shaped objects. Utilizing the free inskscape software, computer mock ups are transferred to a robotically controlled pen. The system is capable of layering and multiple colour changes.
