Wearable Technology: Simple Glasses Offer Virtual 3D Displays

This minimalist head mounted display can project a 60-inch floating color screen within the user's field of vision.

From Lumus comes this futuristic pair of glasses that can create the illusion of a high definition, 60-inch color screen floating in front of the wearer. And if that’s not enough, it can also transmit two separate 3D images, one for each lens. The magic lies in the LCOS projector that shoots an image through a ‘see-through’ lens into specific areas of the glass that imitates the effect of a high resolution, colored display in front of the eyes.
