A recent presentation by John Keehler at Click Here raises some interesting observations about what advertising agencies and tech companies (or start-ups) can learn from each other. As a professional at the intersection of digital technology and advertising & marketing, Keehler noticed that the marketing types were unfortunately absent at many tech conferences, and vice versa. With digital on every agency’s priority list but programmers missing at many agencies, and with marketing as a necessary element for a tech start-up’s longevity but marketing talent limited at many start-ups – Keehler figured there are relevant lessons that each can learn from the other.
