A 3D Printer Made From LEGO
The world's favorite toy building bricks were recently used to build a functioning printer.
BattleBricks has developed a fully functional 3-D printer made entirely from LEGO bricks. Inspired by the MakerBot 3-D printers, the MakerLegoBot uses LEGO Mindstorm NXT kits and motors, taking print instructions from a computer running a Java application. The MakerLegoBot was created using over 2400 bricks and can build basic 3D Lego models.
