Facebook Disconnect is a new Google Chrome extension that blocks all traffic from third-party sites to Facebook servers and removes the seemingly omnipresent Facebook Connect functionality on these sites. Presently, over a million sites use the  Connect service, which prompt surfers to connect using their Facebook ID.  With this extension, you will no longer see the social network’s integration with these sites when you visit them through the Chrome browser, even though you will be able to access Facebook itself.
