New York magazine profiles new media publishing king.

Nick Denton has been a key driver of the new publishing revolution that has taken place over the last few years. The work produced by his Gawker Media network has always been an inspirational for the team here – and we continue to watch and learn day to day. The network includes Gawker (gossip), Jezebel (women’s lifestyle), Gizmodo (gadgets), Jalopnik (cars), Lifehacker (geek stuff).

In a recent issue of New York magazine where they profile the most powerful people in the city, Michael Idov interviews Denton to try to understand how he's managed to get 17.5 million people a month reading his stuff. Some excerpts:
