Quilted Shades Made Of Old Billboard Material
Designer makes upcycled home furnishings from an unlikely source.
Over 10,000 tons of material used to make billboards in the US is wasted annually, but architectural designer Nick Rebeck has now found a use for it. Rebeck is using this fabric, made from PVC-polyester, to make beautiful curtains that offer insulation against the cold, yet allow diffused natural light inside during the day. Another ingenious idea to reuse materials which are usually labeled as waste.
