Designed to move with the ease and range of direction similar to that of a helicopter; on first look, the Skylifter appears to be something of a flying saucer.  The aircraft is capable of vertically lifting and transporting items of any size, up to 150 tonnes in weight – outperforming the helicopter’s 20-tonne limit.  The Skylifter’s ‘aerial’ crane potential opens up construction opportunities in isolated, mountainous or waterlogged locations, where the average crane can’t maneuver.
