Gone are the days when prefab homes meant cheap, blandly designed trailer parks designed for lower income groups, because architects and builders are now producing luxury, cutting edge prefabricated homes worth millions for high-end buyers. Companies like Huf Haus, Form and Forest and Acorn Deck House are making homes that can compare with any traditional luxury house in terms of look, amenities and construction quality, while still offering their buyers the basic advantages of an assembled home: the freedom to select the land of their choice, knowing beforehand how what their home will eventually look like and not needing to wait for months or years to step in their new abode.
