Inventors have a particular penchant for keeping themselves out of public view. But what can you do if your only workshop is at an old storefront with a big window facing the street?

In an entertaining display of technological creativity in the name of privacy, Niklas Roy created a “smart curtain” that can detect the activity of passers-by and position itself directly in front of pedestrians.
