Zero-Emissions Delivery Of Farm Fresh Food
A new bicycle service offers door to door transport of local produce to residents of Minneapolis.
VeloVeggies is a Minnesota-based bike delivery service that offers fresh local produce from the farmers’ market right to the doorsteps of consumers. Founded by Randall Dietel, a graduate of the University of Minnesota, VeloVeggies uses specially assorted boxes called VegBoxes in which they pack fresh vegetables and fruits and deliver them by bikes on the same day. The company also supports community agriculture and environment by providing pick-up and delivery of CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) shares of participants and compostable waste from homes in Minneapolis, all without contributing to emissions in the air.
