Hoxton's Street Monster Supply store continues the fine tradition of design fiction that is emblematic of the 826 National movement.

The theme of the store is a quintessentially British nod to the esoterica so enmeshed in English lore. On offer are an assortment of arcane goods ranging from Entrail Marmalade to Tinned Fears (see the photos below!).

Nestled away at the back of the store is the Ministry of Stories, the real heart of the initiative:

The Ministry follows the model of the 826 centres: a writing centre where kids aged 8-18 can get one-to-one tuition with professional writers and other volunteers; with the centres being housed behind fantastical shop fronts designed to fire the kids’ imaginations. The Ministry has already hosted a series of workshops with local children, all of whom seem to have thoroughly enjoyed the experience
