Netflix: DVD Rentals On The Way Out


The video rental giant shifts gears toward online video streaming and shows signs of closing shop on DVD rental services.

As more consumers begin to watch movies over the Internet rather than rent DVDs, multi-million dollar video rental service company Netflix is now setting its eyes onto exclusive video streaming, thus signaling the potential end of the DVD era. In an effort to encourage streaming-only plans, Netflix has slightly raised the subscription fees of DVD rental plans while slightly decreasing online video streaming plans.
