A vintage calendar project encourages a cyclical recording of thoughts and ideas.

Using a customized cigar box and assorted found papers, Etsy seller SingleChair puts together a functional project with a vintage feel that encourages users to physically record their thoughts as each day passes.

Of the perpetual desk calendar, the creator explains:

The idea here is that the calendar sits on your desk and each day has a card. Each day you can write a note, a little memory, or a quote and then move the card to the back of the stack revealing the next days card.

Year after year you can add new notes to each days card, while also reflecting on the notes and messages you left for yourself from years past. The design will also accommodate bits of paper and other ephemera that you might want to store in it as well.
