A new app from Smule simulates the classic musical instrument and allows collaborative play with users from around the world.

Smule, the company behind popular iPhone apps like the Ocarina flute and virtual piano, have now released a new musical app for the iPad called the Magic Fiddle. The app consists of four virtual strings of a violin and the user can simply move his fingers on them to play it. Magic Fiddle features a songbook and video tutorials too that contain instructions for various tunes. Users can also perform musical duets with other Magic ‘Fiddlers’ from anywhere in the world and earn scores and medals for their performances.
