This is probably one of the craziest, yet fairly foolproof bike locks ever conceptualized. A team of German bicycle enthusiasts has created this remote-controlled device, equipped with an electric motor and skateboard wheels, that straps around a street pole and hoists a bike as high as its owner wants. The idea is to keep the vehicle beyond the reach of a thief’s devious hands. The lock is just a prototype and was developed for a German electronic components company called Conrad.
