Recycling Newspaper Back Into Wood

Waste newspaper can now be milled into "planks" thanks to a Dutch designer.

Designer Mieke Meijer developed this interesting concept of lumber made from newspaper called “Kranthout” (Dutch for “newspaper wood”), a new material that rolls together old newspapers and mills them into planks, thus provoking the illusion and texture of real wood.
