A playful rejigging of Graz, Austria, casts the main street hustle and bustle in a totally new light.

Architects Sandra Janser and Elizabeth Koller have redefined the streets of Graz through an urban intervention that recasts 750 metres of the main street as a track and field race track. The different dynamic between pedestrians that this installation encourages makes for a simple but effective remix of urban space, and perhaps being on a physical racetrack will cause people to think about whether or not they are rushing through life as they run their daily errands.
