The IOBR is a social media toy for toddlers that has been created by Passi Ripatti, a Finland-based studio. The toy has 3 slots of different shapes which when matched with appropriately-shaped boxes sends a status update to the kid’s friends in the form of a corresponding status light in their IOBRs. Each of the 3 blocks designates a task-eating, sleeping and brushing. When the child performs any of these tasks, they place the appropriate block on the matching base and relays this information to their friends. The toy’s aim is to have a small game that encourages children to finish their activities quicker than their friends.
