Designer, Jon Jackson produced five billboards to publicly say goodbye to a city he's lived in for nearly his entire life.

Designer, Jon Jackson is moving across the country from Los Angeles for a new job in New York. Rather than slip away under the cover of the night he said, Adiós LA, with five public billboards. The idea was sparked by a conversation, with a friend who works for CBS Outdoor. Jackson explains why a billboard was the best way to leave:

Excited by all the amazing things he will do and experience in NY, he wanted to create something that would inspire and live on far past his departure date; something that would motivate people to see what might need a change in their own lives or at least give them a chuckle.

Three short weeks later, the series of large-scale visual goodbyes were written, produced, and exposed to the warmth of the California sun. What better way to bid adieu to a city you’ve called home for years than by creating a modern day LA Story with a typographic billboard message that speaks for itself.
