The popular Jackass franchise has a new sequel which will use an unconventional launch strategy.

Paramount and MTV are employing a unique strategy to keep its Jackass franchise fresh and alive in their fans’ minds. Just a few months after Jackass 3D had a blockbuster opening in theaters, Paramount/MTV are launching the next installment Jackass 3.5 which will have Johnny Knoxville performing stunts and antics that were shot simultaneous with the 3D film. The ‘movie’ will be shown online as weekly episodes and then packaged as home video in the form of DVDs.
